Greetings!  We are writing to you to let you know of a need and a continued need and opportunity in our community.  After many years of working with the prison, homeless, and mental health populations, we found that a facility such as Exodus House was sorely needed.  We realized that such a project would take some time to become a fully functioning operation providing the services to its members to these populations which are so sorely needed.  With that in mind we are proud to announce the acquisition of an eight (8) unit facility three(3) years ago that now houses some 40+ men and women who now call Exodus House home.  The acquisition of this property has provided the basic structure and support needed to truly serve the needs of our members. Exodus House provides a clean, safe, client driven and client run housing opportunity designed to help push its members to be the best that they can be with an emphasis on “they”.  Exodus House is truly a community of its people for its people.  The members of Exodus House have multiple transitional living opportunities beginning with Supportive Living and consistently working towards Independent Living all with the structure and safety of a Shared Living environment all geared toward each member being the best they can be.  Our members can for once be who they are without having to feel “different”, or singled out by any means. 

As these six years have passed; Exodus House has provided these services and housing opportunities without the benefit of federal, state, or local funding.  It is only by private pay, donation, and volunteer services that this opportunity has been made possible.  As the population in need, and their actual needs continue to grow; these homes and this closed community needs to be better prepared, better maintained, and upgraded consistently for these residents and deserving members of our society.  We, at Exodus House proudly say “our” society as these members represent our friends, family members, and our hope for unconditional love, understanding and empathy in these much ravaged divisions of society.   It is thus we are asking you to consider helping out with your support of the current and future members of the Exodus House Community in any of three ways:

1. Monetary donations to help with costs of project
2. Monetary donations to help with the cost facility upgrades and operations
3. Help sponsor a room or a member

In addition to our open donation policy with no restriction and no limit; this season Exodus House has begun our initial fundraising campaign:

We are in search of 200 people to donate just $25.00; that’s all!

12 for $25

Donate $25.00 a month for 12 months and become a supporting member!

Although running the above formal campaigns, Exodus House welcomes all donations with no minimum or maximum restrictions.  Every single cent counts; and our members deserve every penny, nickel, and dollar that we can raise for their benefit.
